Heart for Hospitality

Through the later part of February and the beginning of March, I went to a class called "Heart for Hospitality." It is a culinary course, which teaches girls how to better employ the cooking skills that they already have. Cooking in an industrial sized teaches many skills, like cleaning up after yourself, and learning how to use humongous sized tools. In one of the classes we learned how to decorate a cake.

At the end of the course we had a Tea Party. We made the food for it, the napkins, and the "party favors." It was alot of fun!

Garfield Farm Museum

Last year at Christmas time, Lisa and I went to be a docent at Garfield farm. We dressed up in the 1800's fashion. When it started to get dark, candles were lit, which lit up the whole house. Having candles lit made it a unique experience.

Although it was a fun day, it became very long. I was glad when it was finished.

Nathan

Nathan is three now. He loves singing songs from Sunday School! When he goes to bed he always wants to hear his music. He has high energy and continues to try and keep up with Ryan and Stephen. When Ryan jammed his finger in basketball and had to wear a splint, Nathan put a splint on his finger too.

Little trip to MI

Another test! Wow, I guess I should go ahead and try it every six months or so. This weekend I plan on taking Stephen over with me to pick up Michelle from her completed 4 week course "Heart for Hospitality" which teaches young ladies cooking and food prep for large gatherings. She has had a great time and maybe I can get her to put up a post soon.
I look forward to seeing were she has dwelled for 4 weeks and to see her again. We have certainly missed her around here. It's been O' so very quite and calm.
